Coral Harper, TISUK Recovery from Trauma:
Coral from Trauma and Mental Health Informed schools has produced a 2-part webinar to guide education staff to reflect, process and recover from their own experiences during the last two years and help us all cope with the ongoing uncertainties and losses related to the pandemic. Our recovery may not be straightforward and for many of us the most difficult stage is right now or may lie ahead. The 2 x 45-minute recordings include tips for recovery, what we can do to help ourselves and each other at work, and the importance of staff self-care.
YYD Penarth site staff had the opportunity to watch these end of last Summer Term, however many staff may find this more beneficial to watch again now as the pandemic continues to affect us in school and all new staff are advised to watch these. Please arrange to watch with others in class contacts if it is the first time you are watching them.

OT Workshop 1 & 2: Understanding how children develop occupations/Understanding how children use their senses to regulate for learning and play
Working at Height training – accessed through your iDev account. Once logged in go to Find Learning and search for 'Working at Height'. This training should be carried out by any member of staff who might need to climb a step ladder in school eg. putting up displays/decorations etc. As we have new step ladders in school waiting to go into each corridor but can’t use them until staff have completed the training. We’d suggest that maybe at least one person from each class completes it.
